"Roscoe" Sneak Peek.

I'm catching big trout on dries. It's hard not to feel like you know what you're doing when you are laying out 60 ft casts and catching big pressured trout. I'm on top of the world some of these days, others have left me humbled... East Branch slow water fish are tough as hell. And when you fool them don't freek out. I did.

  1. If you like dry fly fishing, and who doesn't, this is THE time of year. What a beautiful sulphur hatch I was taking part in last Friday and again last night. Wish I could say I did well, but can't. Some swings and misses along with drifts where the trout took the naturals right next to my fly. I had best study up on tying a better sulphur imitation!

    1. The imitation is often not the problem when you are fishing a heavy hatch. Time the rise! That is the key.
