My outfitter told me, "be careful!"gioshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15986185565639998678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1271872397720787748.post-17582621748664389352019-02-11T18:56:27.483-08:002019-02-11T18:56:27.483-08:00Will, I accidentally deleted your comment. Fishing the tidal portions of that river put me a lot closer to getting a second s-r brown than any other stream I've fished with one exception.RM Lytlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17177569674375245099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1271872397720787748.post-17688636252743525582019-02-10T15:42:38.752-08:002019-02-10T15:42:38.752-08:00Yes there is something special about our home wate...Yes there is something special about our home waters. I like that you included that thermodynamic stuff too.
I have been so busy with (very enjoyable) work that I haven't been out on a stream in months now. Only a few excellent day trips in Florida, but you really made me long for a trek along my own home water. It was only a year ago, in those same icing guide conditions you describe, that I was delighted to catch holdovers in lots of different pockets. That's the best I can expect in my home water (well, there are the s-r browns but that's unattainables).
On the other hand, my nephew recently caught a holdover rainbow--in the Wissahickon--In January! The rainy summer did something almost unheard of there.gioshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15986185565639998678noreply@blogger.com
