Rock Bass

I did a bit of lake fishing today, hoping for one more chance at big Smallmouth before the push into the depths. It appears that the already have, as the only one I landed were quite small. However, it was a good trip. I caught the first Rock Bass of the year, and that made me happy. He took a small olive bass and panfish fly. As soon as I felt the jerky fight I knew it was something interesting, and it turned out to be the red eyed rip-rap dweller himself. I did also catch one perch.
