Pike Food

As I have mentioned before one of my goals this spring is to get into some nice big pike on the fly. In order to entice, or rather, piss off, a big water wolf a fly with some flash, and color is good. Even better if it can push some water. With the water typically being murky on the spring a big commotion helps. This ought to do the trick.

    Awesome fly! I love the deer hair head, and I think the little flash in the tail is sure to do the trick.

      Spun deer hair is a great head for a streamer or terrestrial.

    They should make plastic lips to be put on the front of the hook so that your fly can move back and forth side to side for more action, I'll bet you can make that happen.

      I can achieve that fairly easily with the right shaped head on an articulated pattern. I have seen flies with lips though.
