Fly Preperation

While we get one last winter blast I will be tying flies. I'm still getting ready for April Break, during which I will be fishing all the streams I have had to be away from during the closed season. I'm also excitedly getting mice, frogs, and streamers ready for the Beaverkill in early June. I'm pretty pumped for that! Not to mention some early preparations for our summer trip, which has changed from the Pacific Northwest to Eastern Canada. I'm OK with that! I'll get to fish for my favorite salmonid, both in Maine and Canada. Hopefully some nice big brook trout will be caught around the Rangely Lakes on the way to Quebec City, who knows what I'll catch on the shore of New Brunswick, and if we do go to Nova Scotia I'm sure I will catch brookies there.

  1. You should do some salmon fishing while you're in the Maritimes. Let me know if you want any info on where to go.

    1. Thanks!
Nymphs boxes were filled up a month ago with a dozen each of my 6 favorite patterns. Top secret.
