Rainbows and Brookies in the TMA

The DEEP stocked the Salmon River last week. Either they just put a few too entertain the locals or the flood pushed them out, because there clearly aren't very many. I caught three today, all on streamers. Two brookies and one rainbow. I'm hoping that they start putting more and bigger fish in, because these ones are not all that fun to fish for. Average sized stockers have all but lost there entertainment value for me and if I don't have a hot at getting a legitimate trophy on a giant meaty streamer I really could care less. It was just nice to be on this river. It is sad that it is only a shadow of its former glory, but I love it almost as much as I do my home stream.

  1. The water looks great and that was a good catch. Maybe they are still in shock?

    1. If there were a lot there like there will be in a month, I would have seen them. Stockers aren't that good at hiding!

  2. Rowan, that is beautiful water. Hopefully it will come back to it's former greatness.

    1. Thanks,
Unfortunately development and climate change means it probably never will.
