An All Purpose Bucktail

I have fished this fly for trout in rivers, trout in ponds, bass, crappie, bluegill, perch, and even snapper and bunker in rivers. It is a Killer fly. I tried to make a video of tying it and ended up running out of batteries half way though without noticing. OOPS! Oh well, it's a pretty simple tie anyway. Much simpler them the giant bunker imitations I'm lashing to circle hooks at the moment. Last years salt water goal, catch literally anything. Success. This years, catch something bigger. Bluefish, Striper, Albie, I don't really care. Just something over the ten pounds. If you want to see one of these flies post a comment!

  1. Nice tie. It sure looks like a fish catcher. Almost like a combination between a light edson tiger and the classic mickey finn.

  2. I agree with RI brook trout. Looks great, I may have to tie some up myself.
