Day 3/5 Fly Pattern Photo Challenge

I have a rule when it comes to two nymph rigs- one big dull fly, one small bright fly. Tomorrow I'll post my favorite dull one. Here's my favorite glowing sparkling flashing shiny one- my Lytle's Crazy Shrimp. Tie in sizes 14-20 in whatever color you want. Pink floss tail, tungsten bead, ice dub of your choice with matching flashabou and similarly colored wire ribbing. What more overt features could you ask for? How about a red hot spot. I started using this fly for brook trout but it turns out it is equally productive for browns and bows.

  1. NICE, I can just see it moving in the water with a good fish chasing.
Tie, fish, write and photo on...

    1. Trout won't really chase this, it's a czech style nymph. When a sizeable trout takes this all the angler should see is a slight tension in the line, although sometimes if the fish is more aggressive it is a strong pull.
