This fly is one I designed just yesterday as a variation of the Dark Flatwing featured in an article in American Angler by Alan Caolo, "Going Dark: Northeast Salt". It uses some different materials and though I have yet to fish it I have a feeling It will be a producer for some nocturnal stripers. Black saddles, rust holographic flashabou, peacock ice dub, and dark bucktails from the tops of orange and chartreuse tails.
I love them, can't wait to see what they catch!!!

I can't wait either. Unfortunate;y it looks like I'm going to have to.
