Insanity is said to be doing something that fails over and over, expecting different results. I came to thinking about this today while fishing some small ponds for pan fish. I had tied on a red tag wet and was fishing it with the same presentation in three ponds for a few hours. I wasn't catching anything. I was almost ready to leave when I began to ask myself if I was insane, then if fisherman were insane. I have seen many go through such situations as I was today. Then a fish hit. I landed four redbreast sunfish in a row. I realized that we couldn't all be crazy (some are), we just know something will eat. It is a matter of getting in that sweet spot. If someone or something suggests that we change, we usually do.
Some friends I met. They were on there way north but needed a good rest. They told me the local cuisine was terrible and that they didn't like my doing fishing in there motel.
Gross.
The fishing part isn't so crazy, but when the ducks start talking to you, its cause for concern.
ReplyDeleteI may need a psychiatrist. :) Or a trip to a mental hospital.
DeleteShame to see all the trash - that's what's insane!
ReplyDeleteYeah it is a shame. I'll clean it up sometime soon but it will return to that condition in less than a month.
DeleteYou're persistent. That's not insane. Hate to see that litter. I'll never understand why because a majority of people like seeing nature in its pristine state. How can the few who don't make such an impact? By the way I liked the talking duck!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me sick when I see even the smallest bit of trash in the woods or water.
