I'm getting frustrated in my quest for a walleye on a fly rod. It seems like everyone I know is catching walleyes. Today Dalton caught his first, and it was a good one! I didn't get skunked but I am beginning to get a bit grumpy. What will it take?
At this point probably some sort of offering to the fish gods. Public humiliation...I'd recommend a fish dance performed in front of the camera and posted on your blog. You should try that!
Way to go Dalton. Rowan brings you good luck. I have had success with all white and not to much weight. I know you will figure it out. Tie, fish, write and photo on...
Hang in there! Your skills have worked on just about every other species, so I'm sure they will work on walleye in time!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
DeleteI certainly hope so.

ReplyDeleteYou're pushing your luck... but that just may happen!
DeleteYou, grumpy?

I wish I could bring myself that good luck.
DeleteStumbled onto your blog while checking out other New England fishing blogs - great site and pics! I'm sure that walleye will come soon enough.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
DeleteAlways good to have new readers.
Patience young Jedi :). Walleye try not and catch you will.
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm kidding... Keep at it, if your getting the depth, it's just a matter of time.
Will
I'm sure I eventually will, but I'm not sure how long it will be.
