A Farewell

This post has been a long time coming,

I must pay a tribute to my now deceased warm water fly rod. I had concocted this abomination of fiberglass out of a bass rod blank, just for kicks. It was solid and caught me plenty of monsters. I used it in salt and fresh waters, catching everything from bluefish to carp. I caught all of my carp this year on it. Here is a photographic synopsis of it's success':

But the spinning fly rod will rise again! I have plenty of unusable spinning rods laying around and have already started the next project.

  1. Yes indeed, you had a great year! Good memories to help you prepare for the Spring. Rods, reels and flies, a good project for the bad weather days that keep us off the water.
    Fish on...

    1. It isn't over till it's over, there are still plenty of big fish to be caught in 2014.
