Today I went out to target carp the simple way: just sweet corn on a size 6 hook and some free floating shot. The conditions were crap for sight fishing. A heavy chop prevented me from seeing any fish, and when the wind died the sun was too low to deal with. Regardless, I was almost alarmed when I got a sharp pull. This, however, was not what I wanted. I thanked the Bluegill anyway and left him to continue his evening feeding.
The sunset reflecting in the water is an awesome photo. It says so much.
ReplyDeleteThank you. That spot is the perfect sunset viewing point. It is only bland when their is a thick cloud cover.
DeleteThe surprises that nature provides us with are amazing! Gues that's why we love being out in the natural world so much.
ReplyDeleteFish on...
It's what brings me there, and it is what keeps me there.
DeleteLooks like a beautiful place to get skunked on carp. I particularly enjoyed the last photo.
ReplyDeleteIt really is.
