Another Unwanted Species

Today I went out to target carp the simple way: just sweet corn on a size 6 hook and some free floating shot. The conditions were crap for sight fishing. A heavy chop prevented me from seeing any fish, and when the wind died the sun was too low to deal with. Regardless, I was almost alarmed when I got a sharp pull. This, however, was not what I wanted. I thanked the Bluegill anyway and left him to continue his evening feeding.

  1. The sunset reflecting in the water is an awesome photo. It says so much.

    1. Thank you. That spot is the perfect sunset viewing point. It is only bland when their is a thick cloud cover.

  3. Looks like a beautiful place to get skunked on carp. I particularly enjoyed the last photo.
