Thirty Fish Bend
For a long while the only fish I caught were juvenile browns, fresh blood that in a few years will be bigger and very beautiful. The streamside undergrowth was showing much color under the dew today, and the air smelled clean. Veeries sand in the laurels, adding to the music of the water.
Eventually I got into some bigger wild brown trout. The first had a fantastic golden iridescence.
The best bit of dry fly fishing happened where it almost always does, a pool named the Magic Pool. There always seem to be some nice wild trout rising there.
Sea Bound Leaper
The best fighter of the day. Jumped 4 times and did some strong runs.
Eventually, far upstream, I began to run into some more native brook trout. Following the brooky trail I ended up catching the last fish of the day in a gorgeous little tributary. It is so small it doesn't even have a name!
Have a good week everybody! Tight lines.
