Herring Check, April 11th

The water is warming back up again. By my prediction it should be a week before we start seeing alewives. I'll be gone for four days at the end of the week, none of that time will be used for fishing as crazy as that sounds coming from me. But in the mean time I'll try to fit some fishing time into my schedule before then and after I'm back the fish had better look out.

    1. Thanks,
Unfortunately there are no longer wild brookies in this stream, only a few stockers.

  2. That stream looks great. I need to fish it. We will miss your pages, but in the mean time the fish will have a break, so enjoy your trip.
Tie, fish, write and photo on...

    1. If it weren't for stocking trucks and runs of anadromous fish and spring spawning species it would be totally empty. Very much a relic from the industrialist revolution.
