Being from the East Coast I know how much land and water is already inaccessible to the public even though it looks like it shouldn't be. Public lands have been under attack for a while, but this new legislative threat could be the end of one of America's greatest freedoms. If you are an outdoorsman it would be in your best interest to do something about this. The least you could do is sign this petition:
Better yet, contact your congressman or congresswoman. Call, email, write, anything. Just tell them you want our public lands to stay public. If we don't all act we may loose everything.
Guys, you know me. I fish constantly and post about fishing or fly tying almost exclusively. No gear reviews, no ads, I'm not making money from this. I won't write a plea post like this unless it really means something to me and this does.
Thank you for this post Rowan!!! This means a lot to us. I signed the petition in hopes for our land.
ReplyDeleteTie, fish, write and photo on...
Thanks you for signing.
DeleteAbsolutely 100% on board with you on this one RM. This is a HUGE issue that we all should be involved in. Our forefathers protected public lands - for the public - and that was something done with great fore sight.
ReplyDeleteSome things are worth far more than $$$, and public land is one of those things!
Well said RM
Will
That last statement says it all.
DeleteThanks for posting this. I also posted this on fishing forum that I visit regularly that has people on it from coast to coast.
ReplyDeleteThe more people know this the better.
DeleteThank you for pointing out this threat to our common lands and heritage. I support keeping lands public and protected.
ReplyDeleteIt is unfortunate that some don't realize this threat.
