Bass Time
Today most ponds in the area finally were free of ice, so I went out to get my first bass of 2014. After failing to catch on a big streamer I tried a small top water fly. It got me two of last year's spawn, spunky little large-mouth bass. Next time I'll try for a carp or some pickerel. Don't worry, I'll try to make my way to a wild trout stream soon.
