I was out and about yesterday afternoon once the rain stopped, I checked out a few streams and mountain biked a few VERY wet trails. And it was almost 60 degrees... I was perfectly comfortable in shorts. I fished a bit and though the water levels were perfect the color was not and there were a few too many leaves. As long as the weather doesn't go too cold and the water stays in it's current flow the next couple of weeks could be good. There is a bit of snow in the forecast and honestly I'm looking forward to that. I like to fish in fresh snow.
No shorts today! It looks like January is back
ReplyDeleteYeah... we can't ask for early fall weather all year.
DeleteCool that you got the chance to get out and enjoy the nice temps. I love that second to last pic of the water cascading down into a pool with hemlocks around. What a gorgeous pic!
ReplyDeleteI wish it was flowing clear but at that level all year... so healthy looking.
DeleteThat stream looks perfect! Glad you had some warm weather to deal with. We have snow and more snow. 29 here now, YUCH!!!!
ReplyDeleteTie, fish, write and photo on...
Remember, we need the cold. If it doesn't cool off, the trout streams are going to be in bad shape come summer
